Raster to vector, explained
PNG stores an image as a fixed grid of pixels. It is useful for screenshots, illustrations and graphics with transparency, but enlarging a small PNG also enlarges those pixels. PNG to SVG conversion traces visible shapes into vector paths. It is a change in how the artwork is described, not simply a new filename.

Better input, a better starting point
Use the cleanest source you have rather than a screenshot of it. Exporting an already blurred image at a larger size does not restore missing detail. Check fine lines and small spaces at the source size before asking a trace to reproduce them.
A transparent background can help separate a logo from its surroundings. Soft edges and partial transparency still need inspection: check the SVG on both light and dark backgrounds in your editor. Do not assume that every translucent pixel becomes an identical vector shape.
A simple logo, icon or flat illustration is a useful starting point. Tiny text, textured fills and subtle shadows make a trace harder to evaluate. Crop unwanted margins in your image editor and preserve the full artwork inside the crop.
Know what conversion can change and what you should check yourself.
You can upload a PNG with transparency. Inspect the returned SVG, especially soft or partly transparent edges, before using it on a different background. Keep a copy of the source so you can compare any detail that changes.
No automatic conversion can guarantee the exact original curves from a small or blurred image. A vector result scales without enlarging a pixel grid, but it can still contain tracing errors. Check letter shapes, corners and gaps, then refine paths if necessary.
No. An SVG file can contain an embedded raster image, which still has the pixel limitations of the PNG. Vectorization instead traces artwork into paths and shapes. In a vector editor, inspect the result to see whether the artwork is represented by editable paths.
