Image to vector: your questions answered.

Image vectorization traces a raster image into paths and shapes. PNG and JPG store pixels; a vector SVG describes shapes that can be resized without enlarging that pixel grid. A trace interprets the source, so it cannot recover missing detail or guarantee an exact copy of the original design.

Upload PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP images up to 10 MB. Images must decode within the 40-megapixel limit.

Your image is uploaded for processing by the vectorization service; conversion does not happen entirely on your device. In the single-image workspace, choosing, dropping or pasting an image starts color conversion automatically. Try up to 2 watermarked previews without an account in 24 hours. Compare with your original, then sign in and choose paid access when you’re ready to download.

Previews are free. One Starter credit unlocks a file in SVG, PDF and EPS; Unlimited includes downloads without spending credits. Repeat downloads cost no extra credits until expiry. Failed previews spend no credits. If a submission is interrupted, recover the same request rather than creating a duplicate.

Open Billing to stop subscription renewal. Existing access continues until the paid period ends. Review the confirmation before changing your subscription.

Download SVG directly or choose PDF or EPS from More formats. One unlock covers every format. EPS may flatten transparency and effects. DXF is not available; check your printer or cutting software requirements before production.

Preview retention defaults to 24 hours; paid plans provide longer availability. Unlock with Starter for at least 7 days of downloads, or Unlimited for 30 days. Existing paid files keep their availability. My files shows the actual expiry; save your own copy before then.

Only upload artwork you own or have permission to use. Converting an image does not grant rights to somebody else’s design, trademark or illustration. You retain ownership of your uploaded content under the Terms; check the source artwork’s license before using a vector commercially.
